Dr. Robert M. Alexander
Dr. Alexander is a well respected orthodontic specialist who has been serving the Sacramento and Rocklin communities since 2001. Dr. Alexander earned his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1998. After dental school, Dr. Alexander continued at UCSF for an additional three years to complete an orthodontic residency and receive his master’s degree. In order to stay at the forefront of 
new orthodontic advancements and technologies, Dr. Alexander attends a significant number of continuing education courses each year. His dedication to learning allows him to offer his patients many options to achieve their orthodontic goals.

Indirect bonding
Indirect bonding offers greater precision, increased efficiency and additional comfort for our patients. Indirect bonding is a technique for attaching braces to your teeth where a significant amount of the required “work” is done ahead of time. Dr. Alexander personally sets each bracket to your custom dental casts and transfer trays are made prior to your appointment. This means that precision placement can be achieved with less discomfort and time in the dental chair.
In-Ovation® Bracket system
Our office uses In-Ovation® self ligating braces for our patients. The In-Ovation® bracket system uses a free sliding technology which places significantly less pressure on your teeth. As a result, your treatment not only takes less time and requires fewer appointments, but is more comfortable than with traditional fixed-wire braces. IN-Office Orthodontic Laboratory
We have our own orthodontic lab in the office. This allows Dr. Alexander to directly oversee the fabrication of your orthodontic appliances and ensure they are of the best quality and workmanship. All of our appliances are hand crafted by Diane Moffat, who has over 25 years experience making orthodontic appliances in the U.S. and Canada.
Digital X-Rays
X-rays allow Dr. Alexander to evaluate concerns involving skeletal structures, impacted teeth, shortened roots and joint symptoms. To provide our patients with added safety, our office uses digital x-rays. Digital x-rays require up to 80% less radiation than traditional film based radiographs and allow for extremely low exposure levels.
